A LOCATION THAT SURPRISES

The number one feature of Queen Anne High School is the proximity and walkability! With an 88 walk-score you'll find everything you need in walking distance. For many this includes getting to work in SLU. Queen Anne is one of the few charming old Seattle neighborhoods that still supports savvy residents needing to walk to work. You’ll find multiple grocery options like Trader Joe’s, Metropolitan Market, Safeway and QFC a short jaunt from QAHS. You’ll also find Eat Local and other locally owned butchers, bakers and candlestick makers. At home you’ll feel like you reside in a premium old world neighborhood where safety, education, and community rein supreme. You’ll love living in Queen Anne!

SMART DESIGN

Unit 410 is stunning and different from all the other units. 14' ceilings and large windows capture views of Queen Anne's tree lined streets as well as drench the interior with natural light. The owners lovingly cared for this home and just completed a refresh. Fourth floor in Queen Anne High School is picturesque and of course you get the dramatic height and amazing architecture everywhere you look.

LIVING IN HISTORY

Queen Anne High School was one of the last creations of James Stephen during his nine years as Seattle’s official school architect. Stephen was responsible for designing more than 50 Seattle school structures and many more schools throughout Washington state, although I have a hard time believing any of the others are as breathtaking or in as beautiful of a setting as Queen Anne High School. The Grizzly was eventually adopted as the school mascot. Named after a beloved hang-out spot for students across the street, The Grizzly Inn. To this day, Queen Anne High School boasts a strong Alumni Association. Even though they no longer have future students walking the great halls, they have held on and cherished their roots and history and continue to support the prosperity of the building that is still standing.
