Big things are happening in Judkins Park: This Seattle neighborhood is getting a light rail station in 2023! This is VERY big deal, as this station will connect Seattle to the Eastside. The Judkins Park Station is in the median of I-90 and Rainier Avenue South.
But even without the Light Rail, Judkins is a popular neighborhood for those who need to commute due to its central location that makes it easy to hop on I-90, I-5, or head Downtown on public transit.
We asked locals where their favorite places to eat out at in Judkins are, and here’s what they recommend:
“Broadcast Coffee on Jackson—it is spacious and not usually overly crowded.”
Ezells is close by, Central Pizza is also good.
“Moonlight Cafe, and Pho Bac Sup House. Also Broadcast Coffee; it’s friendly, LGBTQ owned, and walking distance.” - Shawn F.
“The cute little restaurant row on Jackson between MLK and 23rd, and the Mt Baker overlook on 31st has a few small spots!”
Judkins Park's central location within Seattle is a significant draw for homebuyers. Situated just south of downtown Seattle, it provides easy access to the city's employment opportunities, cultural attractions, and entertainment options. Commuters appreciate the convenience of living in a neighborhood with excellent connectivity.
The neighborhood is home to the lovely Judkins Park and Playfield, which offers residents a peaceful escape amidst nature. This green space is ideal for picnics, sports, and outdoor activities, providing a refreshing contrast to the urban hustle and bustle.
