When schools are a factor for our home buyers, they want to know where the “best” schools are. The truth is, this is a complicated subject for many reasons (and we’ll be sharing more about this on our blog soon).
Our latest listing is in the small city of Lake Forest Park, which had us looking closer at the neighborhood amenities, commuting options, and of course, schools!
Lake Forest Park is on the northern end of Lake Washington, just east of the city of Shoreline. This location gives its residents access to the Shoreline School District, which, according to Niche.com’s 2020 ratings, is the #7 Best School District in Washington.
Now, consider for a moment that one of the best known school districts in the area is the Lake Washington School District, which is rated #5 on Niche.com.
While these neighboring school districts both offer excellent education, Lake Forest Park has a few extra benefits:
The median home sold within the Lake Washington School District has 4 bedrooms + 2.75 baths / 3,210 square feet with a median sale price of $1,299,000.
The median home sold within the Shoreline School District has 5 bedrooms + 3.38 baths / 3,400 square feet with a median sale price of $906,750.
