How the Best in the PNW award works

Best in the PNW is The Seattle Times’ annual reader’s choice program. Readers nominate local businesses, then vote in each category. The top three finishers in every category are named Gold, Silver and Bronze. There is no panel of judges and no application essay. The result reflects how many people in the region were willing to put their name behind a business.

Who Get Happy at Home is

Get Happy at Home was founded in 2006 by Matt Miner and operates out of the Compass office on Capitol Hill in Seattle. The team represents buyers and sellers across Seattle and the Eastside, including Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond.

The team is four people, and clients work with all of us:

• Matt Miner, founder, broker and principal. Matt has sold homes in Seattle since 2006 and brings a builder’s eye for construction and renovation to every showing.
• Ryan Palardy, partner and lead sales agent. Ryan is a real estate broker who is also a licensed Washington attorney, and he has completed home inspector coursework.
• Marta Grzankowski, director of operations. Marta runs every transaction from mutual acceptance to closing.
• Karl Wagner, showing agent. Karl tours homes with buyers and hosts open houses.

As of October 2026, the team holds a 5.0 rating from 213 client reviews on Zillow and has closed more than 1,150 sales.

Why we think readers voted for us
