A Get Happy at Home Listing in the Making: Bryant/Laurelhurst Condo

This particular listing was a cute little 1-bedroom unit in a post-war building in the Bryant/Laurelhurst area, right by Children’s Hospital. The unit was old and close to original, and it needed some love!

Of course, our client wanted to know if we could make more money by remodeling the unit (yes!), and they were able to put $20,000 toward a remodel.

Here’s what we did to upgrade this condo:

• New floors
• Brand new cabinets in kitchen
• New quartz counters
• New tile backsplash
• New stainless steel appliances
• Remodeled bathroom
• Painted entire unit

And of course, we had it staged and professionally marketed.

Without any remodel, I told the clients we could list their unit and sell it for $265,000. WITH the remodel, we listed it for $300,000 and SOLD it for $352,000—the highest sold price in the building!

The year before, a 2-bedroom unit (keep in mind ours was just a 1-bedroom unit) in the same complex sold for $325,000.
